Benefits of a Day After Wedding Shoot

Have you considered the benefits of day after wedding shoot? I highly recommend it if you want to have some adventurous wedding photos, but don’t want to give up some of the traditions of a wedding. Mike and Erin held an intimate ceremony at L’Auberge de Sedona with their close family and children. Knowing that we have the next day to take photos really takes the pressure off on the day of the wedding. It allows the photographer to focus a little more on the moments and the couple to spend time with their guests and family. Intimate weddings are shorter and often smaller, therefore, they are expecting to have time with the bride and groom.

Erin really wanted to have photos up at Merry Go Round Rock in Sedona and the only way we could fit it all in was to do a wedding photo session the next day. We drove up together and gave ourselves plenty of time to explore and enjoy the sunset. This was also a perfect time for Erin to try on a second dress for the session. Sometimes bride’s have alternate wedding dresses or sometime we just dress back up again! It was so much fun and I never pass up the opportunity to shoot up at Merry Go Round Rock. I do recommend a jeep tour for these shoots! The road is not for the faint of heart. There are several options for getting up the 4-wheel drive road, but this time, I offered up my personal chauffeur service (Ford F-150 truck). 😉   I don’t want to forget to give a shout out to Christopher Bullock Beauty! He’s the best.
